History of the Unic P-107 artillery tractor
At the end of 1937, production of the semi-tracked P107 BU began at Unic in Puteaux. Of the almost 2,500 ordered, over 1,800 were delivered before the armistice in June 1940. Poland, the only export customer, ordered 60 P 107 BUs in the summer of 1939, just too late to be shipped...
The P 107 BU light artillery tractor is equipped with a 3500 cc four-cylinder engine developing some sixty horsepower, enabling a maximum road speed of 45 km/h. This vehicle could accommodate 6 servants, and the trunks behind the cab could hold 72 75 mm shells. It is also possible to replace the 75 mm shell cases with 105 mm ones as required.
