History of the Renault VAB Mk.III T1 turret
The VAB Mk3 is a family of 6x6 medium armored vehicles. A key vehicle, the VAB Mk3 owes its excellent reputation to the VAB, thanks to its more than 40 years of service with the armed forces. A highly versatile vehicle, the VAB has been proven in all theaters of operation and can fulfill numerous missions, from troop transport to fire support, aided by the latest generation systems.
It also offers very high performance in terms of mobility, protection, and payload capacity (personnel and weapon systems). In its infantry combat configuration, the VAB Mk3 carries a crew of 10 (2+8) while ensuring the carriage of medium-caliber weapon systems ranging from 20 to 40 mm from the best turrets.
