Combat Preparation: Artillery in Devastated Terrain

Combat Preparation: Artillery in Devastated Terrain

This diorama was created to illustrate the technology and operational capabilities of the armed forces. It was produced for the Army’s Recruitment and Selection Division.

In the heart of a war-torn landscape, a group of soldiers stands in formation behind a Caesar truck, deep in the midst of analyzing a strategic plan. The unfolded map in their hands is their only point of reference in this chaotic terrain. The atmosphere is tense; uncertainty is etched on their faces as they try to pinpoint their exact location amid this devastated landscape.

Around them, the scene tells a story of destruction. A ruined house, once inhabited, stands as a remnant of the past. Its crumbling walls and collapsed roof bear witness to the powerful bombings that ravaged this village. The ground, made of hard-packed earth, creates difficult terrain for movement.

The Caesar Truck, positioned on this terrain, faces uncertainty. Its imposing silhouette and wheels sunk in the mud serve as a reminder of the weight of war bearing down on this region. All around, a few surviving plants—bushes and grasses—struggle to endure in this devastated landscape.

The entire scene exudes a sense of relative calm, before the order is given for a new offensive. It is a moment of suspended tension, where doubt and preparation intertwine against a backdrop of destruction.

This work offers a true immersion into the military world, featuring models that are both technical and artistic, sure to appeal to collectors of model kits and military history.
