History of the AMX 13 VCG tank based on Solido
The AMX-13 is a French light tank produced in 7,700 units between 1953 and 1985. Its chassis served as the basis for numerous armored vehicles, combat tanks, anti-tank missile launchers, troop transports (AMX-13 VCI) , 105 or 155 mm artillery piece, command posts, engineering vehicles or ambulance.
The V.C.G., derived from the V.C.I. AMX 13, allows an engineering squad (10 men) to carry out earthmoving, lifting, clearing and destruction operations. It is equipped with a Dozer blade, a removable boom capable of lifting 4,500 kg, and a hydraulic winch (3,500 - 4,500 kg) controlled from inside the vehicle, as well as pioneering tools: mine detectors, mechanical saws, self-propelled hammer drills, etc.
It can tow an all-terrain trailer with a payload of 2,000 kg.
