History of the car Simca 5 / Fiat Topolino 

The Simca 5 was ordered in 1640 units by the French Armed Forces Purchasing Services. However, only around 1000 units were delivered as part of the program complement.

This small two-seater car, produced in Nanterre, was entrusted with liaison missions in central administration services, so as to relieve this load of other more efficient vehicles, which were thus assigned to other tasks. The last military order for Simca 5 cars was for 400 vehicles. 

Placed on May 27, 1940, 200 units in June and 200 in July, this order sank into oblivion during the defeat of June 1940.
